Welcome to Bright Funds, Bi-State Development Team Members!
Our mission at Bi-State Development is to improve the quality of life in the St. Louis region by delivering excellent public services and dynamic regional solutions. One of the many ways we help improve the quality of life in the region, is through our participation in the Building A Better Community Annual Giving Campaign. Bright Funds is a digital tool that allows you to easily donate to your preferred causes and nonprofits right here in our community.  
 
Please consider supporting some of our region’s most impactful nonprofits:
 
  • BSD Helping Hand Fund: Created to assist team members or eligible dependents who are experiencing unexpected economic hardship beyond their control. BSD raised over $20,000 for this fund during the 2023 Annual Giving Campaign.
  • United Way of Greater St. Louis: With nearly $3 billion invested in local nonprofits and programs, United Way helps people live their best possible lives, ensuring our region thrives for generations to come.
  • Arts and Education Council of Greater St. Louis: This organization touches over 1.6 million lives, inspiring creativity, bridging divides, and enriching our community through the power of the arts.
  • United Negro College Fund: Investing in higher education through UNCF means creating a brighter future for generations to come, with graduates who are committed to giving back.
  • William L. Clay Scholarship and Research Fund: Most recipients of this four-year scholarship stay in the St. Louis area, continuing the legacy of giving back to the community that supported them.
Our community’s needs are great and we believe that all our team members have a stake in improving the quality of life in the St. Louis region.

BSD Helping Hand Fund

At Bi-State Development, we value each and every one of our Team Members and understand that unexpected challenges can arise. The BSD Helping Hand Fund means to offer a helping hand during times of financial hardship. WHAT IS THE BSD HELPING HAND FUND The BSD Helping Hand Fund helps employees or eligible dependents who are experiencing economic hardship and are unable to afford housing, utilities, and other basic living needs because of a natural disaster; life-threatening illness or injury; death or other catastrophic or extreme circumstances beyond the employee’s control. BSD HELPING HAND FUND ELIGIBILITY All Bi-State Development employees who are regularly scheduled active full time (for minimum of 6 months) or part time (for minimum of 6 months) are eligible to apply for the BSD Helping Hand Fund. If the employee has passed away, then a spouse or eligible dependent may apply. An employee can only be approved for assistance once within a 12 month period. HOW TO DONATE TO THE BSD HELPING HAND FUND Donations to the fund can be made year-round! Options to donate include: payroll deductions, credit/debit card, or with PayPal.
