COC Nederland
Since 1946, COC Nederland has been committed to building a diverse and inclusive society. We connect the rainbow community and advocate for the emancipation, acceptance, and equal rights of lgbti+ people in the Netherlands. COC Netherlands is a federation that consists of 20 regional associations. So, wherever you live in the Netherlands, there’s always a COC in your area. But a lot of our work also goes beyond the Dutch borders: through partnerships with over 200 lgbti+ groups in 35 countries across Africa, the Middle East, South-America, South & Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe, we support communities where being a part of the lgbti+ community can still be dangerous or even deadly.
We partner with businesses to strengthen their DEI strategies while gaining resources that help sustain our own work. We also collaborate closely with Pride Employee Resource Groups (ERG’s), helping companies transform from the inside out — creating safer, more inclusive workplaces.
We actively work towards the emancipation, acceptance, and equal rights of lgbtqia+ people in the Netherlands and worldwide. We do this together with people from the community and with allies. Our work spans many areas, with a strong focus on youth and education, advocacy, international cooperation, culture and faith, people aged 50+, movement-building, queer people of color, safety, wellbeing, workplace inclusion, and diverse family and living arrangements.
